Key words

ABSTRACT

China is moving towards market economy. Ownership of landed property by individuals by way of "land use right" is permitted under the Constitution and protected by law. The need for property valuation has been increasing. Valuation practitioners are in great demand and emerged in large numbers. They have been organized and professional institutes have been formed. The China Institute of Real Estate Appraisers has developed a set of "Code for Real Estate Appraisal" which set the national standards for valuation practioners.
