To be entitled to the early registration fee, you must have registered and paid by 28 January 2010.

*Full Accompanying Persons Registration includes the opening ceremony, Welcome Reception, Entrance to FIG 2010 Exhibition, Sydney Harbour Coffee Cruise on Tuesday 13 April 2010, Sydney City Sights tour on Wednesday 14 April 2010, Closing ceremony, FIG Farewell Reception and gift.

The Accompanying Persons Meeting Point will be located in the Registration Desk area in the Parkside Promenade, Ground Level of the Convention Centre

Student Registration

A student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from a recognised tertiary or secondary educational institution or international student card. Students must be studying full time to qualify for the discounted rate.

Please Note: A copy of your student identification card is required when you submit your registration form. Without this copy, the full registration fee will be charged.

Payment of Fees

Payment may be made by credit card, electronic funds transfers or cheque.

Credit card payments: Following credit cards are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners. When paying via credit card a merchant fee of 3% (processing fee) will be incurred. The additional fee will be reflected in the total transaction amount processed. Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to ‘Conference by THPL’.

Cheques should be made payable to XXIV FIG International Congress 2010. Your name and full address should be typed or printed clearly on the back of the cheque. Cheque payments from overseas must be a bank cheque in Australian Dollars, drawn on an Australian Bank. No other currency will be accepted.

Cheque payments will only be accepted until 8th March 2010 to ensure that we receive the cheque and also to ensure that the cheque is processed in time for the commencement of the Congress. After this date, all registrations (including accommodation bookings) must be submitted with credit card payment via the online registration form or by calling (61) 2 9265 0700.

Acknowledgements

Your registration and payment will be acknowledged via email or post with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not accompany your form.

You will not receive any further publications before the Congress. Your letter of acknowledgment will include any further advice necessary prior to your arrival at the Congress.

Entry Requirements to Congress

Each member of the Congress will receive a name badge on registration. The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions. The Congress managers expect appropriate behavior from attendees and reserves the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.

Registration and name badges are not transferrable between people.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the Congress and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Congress, or through cancellation of the Congress, loss of international/domestic air fares through cancellation for any reason, loss of tour monies through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services strikes within Australia, failure to utilise tours or pre booked arrangements due to airline delay, Force Majeure or any other reason, medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover), loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The Congress managers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.

Private Touring/Hospitality Arrangements

Should you have any specialised group requirements for private touring, transportation or hospitality services other than those organised for the official program, please contact the Congress managers who would be pleased to assist with arrangements.

Private Functions

It is requested that you advise the Congress managers of any private /corporate functions that might be planned outside of the official program. The Congress managers would be pleased to assist with arrangements for any of these events.
