FIG is proud to support and deliver the Geospatial Leadership Training and Global Forum from 1-3 April 2025 in Melbourne, organised by the United Nations Global Geospatial Knowledge and Innovation Centre (UN-GGKIC) in collaboration with the Centre for Spatial Data Infrastructures and Land Administration (CSDILA) at the University of Melbourne.

Themed "Next-Generation Sustainability: Advancing the Future with Geospatial Intelligence," this event offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of geospatial and land innovation, contributing to the development of resilient and inclusive societies.

We invite and encourage all FIG Working Week participants to join this event—either in person or online—before heading to Brisbane.

Event Overview:

1-2 April: Geospatial Leadership Training

A course led by experts from CSDILA, CASM, and UN-GGIM, designed to equip participants with the skills to become leaders in geospatial knowledge and land administration.

3 April: Global Forum

Under the theme "Empowering Sustainable Development with Geospatial Intelligence," this forum will bring together government, academic, and industry leaders to explore innovative solutions to global challenges. Discussions will focus on topics such as:

  • Land access for climate action
  • Advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
