Apply now: Nature Research Awards for Driving Global Impact

Championing researchers who address global challenges  related to the SDGs


FIG has been approached by the scientific journal Nature with a call for applications for their Nature-Research Award. They invite early career researchers, hereunder surveyors and geospatial experts, working in the following areas:

  • Food security, water security and/or energy security – ensuring a long term, sustainable supply of either food, water or energy.
  • Healthcare interventions – the assessment, improvement or promotion of human health.
  • Environmental protection – protection of the natural environment on land and water including the repair of damage.
  • Climate change – slowing climate change and adapting to what’s unavoidable.
  • Sustainable cities – building green, liveable cities that last.

Nature Award for Driving Global Impact was launched in 2019 with the aim of championing researchers who are striving towards the achievement of one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Nature is are aiming to recognise and promote the work of researchers in a wider variety of fields, hereunder surveying as many surveyors work closely on several of the SDG's.

Deadline for the application is 21 March 2021 23:59 GMT. Application must be submitted through their application form
