Call for nominations for President and Vice Presidents

October 2021

During the FIG General Assembly 2022 that will take place in August/September 2022 the FIG General Assembly will elect a new president and two new Vice Presidents for term of office 2023-2026.

FIG Council invites all Member Associations to consider this call for nomination and nominate qualified candidate(s) for election as President (one open post), Vice Presidents (two open posts).

The deadline for the submission of nominations is 1 March 2022 at noon (12:00 CET - Central European TIme).

All nominations must be made using the appropriate nomination template together with a covering letter of support from a FIG Member Association. The letter of support must be from either the President or the Principal Officer of the nominating FIG Member Association.
The positions are volunteer but are high prestigious positions with a large responsibility and commitment.

Please find more information in the letter that is also sent by email to all member associations and in the extract of the Internal Rules:

FIG Congress and General Assembly

At the General Assembly 2021 the host and destination of FIG Congress 2022 was moved from Cape Town South Africa to Poland. Our Polish Association of Surveyors SGP took up the challenge to organise this large 4-year Congress within a year.

Hoping that the travel situation will improve over time and to get some more time for the preparations it has been decided to move the Congress and also the General Assembly to August/September 2022 (instead of May/June).
